Slab Leak? Pinpoint First, Open Concrete Last

★★★★★ Rated 4.9 out of 5 stars

Warm spot on the floor, water bill jumped, hot-water tank running constantly; likely a slab leak. Acoustic + infrared locates the source within inches before any concrete gets opened.

Every Slab Leak Service

Pinpoint Detection

Acoustic listening + infrared thermal imaging narrows the leak to within inches before any concrete gets cut.

Spot Repair

Saw-cut a small section of slab, expose the line, repair the failure, patch the concrete back. Smallest disruption when the line is otherwise sound.

Reroute (Overhead)

Run a fresh line through the attic or wall instead of opening the slab. No concrete work, longer line, often the right call for older copper systems.

Epoxy Lining

Specialty service for the right pipe condition; line the existing pipe from inside without trenching or cutting concrete.

Insurance Documentation

Photos, infrared scans, and an itemized invoice formatted for your homeowners-insurance claim on resulting water damage.

Same-Day or Next-Day

Detection is typically same-day. Repair scheduling depends on chosen approach; most spot repairs done in one visit.

Why Slab Leaks Need a Specialist

Four things that separate a careful slab-leak repair from a DIY hack-and-patch.

Find Before You Cut

A blind jackhammer can chase a leak across a room before it finds the source. Detection equipment narrows the leak to a small area first; saving the floor and the foundation.

  • Two-method confirmation before cutting
  • Smallest-possible access opening
  • No exploratory holes
Pinpointing the leak before opening any concrete.

Three Real Options, Not One Default

A reputable plumber quotes spot repair, reroute, AND lining when each is viable. We tell you the trade-offs (cost, disruption, longevity) and let you choose.

  • Spot repair vs reroute vs liner; all quoted
  • Honest trade-offs explained
  • Your choice, written quote

Concrete Restored Right

When we have to open the slab, we cut clean (not jackhammer-jagged), patch with the right concrete mix, and finish flush. Tile, hardwood, or carpet matched on top.

  • Saw-cut, not chipped
  • Concrete patched flush
  • Finish flooring restored

Insurance Claim Help

Water damage from a slab leak is often covered even when the repair itself isn’t. We document the leak source so you can file the claim with proof in hand.

  • Pre-and-post photos
  • Infrared scan included
  • Adjuster-friendly invoice

Slab Leak FAQ

Common questions about how slab leaks are detected, repaired, and what insurance covers.

How do I know I have a slab leak vs another kind of leak?
Telltale signs: warm or wet spot on the floor (hot-water-line slab leak), water bill jumped without explanation, hot-water tank cycling constantly, or the sound of running water with every fixture off. Cold-line slab leaks are quieter and often only show up as elevated bills.
Should I repair the slab leak or reroute around it?
Depends on the pipe condition. Spot repair makes sense when the line is otherwise healthy and one weak point failed. Reroute makes sense when the system is older, the metallurgy is suspect, or you’d rather not open the slab. We quote both; your call.
How long does slab-leak repair take?
Detection: usually 1–2 hours. Spot repair (cut, repair, patch): typically half a day. Reroute through attic or wall: often a full day. Epoxy lining requires a return visit for the cure cycle.
Is the leak my insurance company’s problem?
The pipe repair itself is usually NOT covered. The water damage from the leak (warped flooring, ruined drywall, mold remediation) is often covered. We document everything so your claim moves smoothly.
Can I just shut off that line and not repair it?
Usually no; slab leaks under a primary supply line affect the whole house. A leak under a single branch (one bathroom, one kitchen line) can sometimes be isolated short-term, but the water keeps eroding the foundation underneath. Repair is the right move.
